Elephant grass grows surrounding water holes in the Sahel region of West Africa. It is harvested by the Fra Fra people of Northern Ghana, soaked and stretched to produce a fine, supple, and extra strong fibre. Supporting these items helps maintain the time-honoured craft of weaving and long-existing fair trade relationship. May be soaked in water and reshaped as desired.
